Special Initiative for Exhibitions and Operations
For the year 2021, in recognition of the financial challenges museums and galleries face, the Coby Foundation is encouraging applications for exhibition planning and implementation in the fashion and textiles field that include a percentage of salary support for full- and part-time curatorial and collections staff who are engaged in the project.
These might include exhibitions that involve loans from other museums and/or artists’ works or are drawn from the applicant institution’s own collections. Successful applications will show evidence that at least half of the objects likely to be displayed will be in the Foundation’s field of interest. Projects can be in the art or history field; they can be historical or contemporary in nature. Other than salary support, the applicant should follow existing Foundation guidelines for requirements and instructions.
